The Challenge

Most Meat Processors Don’t Have Software Built for Their Work

The reality of a custom meat processor

  • Every animal is different
  • Cuts, fees, and services vary by order
  • Paper and spreadsheets cause mistakes
  • Office manually generates cut sheets
  • Cutting floor feedback to the office is manual
  • Customers change their mind about cutting instructions

What does a processor do?

  • Some use PDF or Word online forms, and email
  • Some pay tens of thousands for custom applications
  • Many pay to use QuickBooks or other services just for invoicing
  • They hand off order summaries from QB to their accountant
  • Save boxes of paper forms and cut sheets

What CutPlanner Does

Provides a step-by-step, grow-as-you-go, affordable solution!

For the Processor

  • Cusom cutting instructions
  • Customer and Rancher input
  • Processing and service fees
  • Order summaries and instant email confirmations
  • Optional cut floor tools

For your customer

  • Online accounts with order history

  • Immediate email confirmation of cutting instructions
  • Optional invoicing
  • Order the same cutting again in the future

How processors adopt CutPlanner

Most processors don’t switch everything at once. CutPlanner is designed to be adopted in stages — starting with cut sheets, then adding pricing and invoicing, then later adding production-floor cut and container labeling and barcoding, if needed.

Step 1 – Cut Sheets First

Replace handwritten or Word/PDF cut sheets with clean, printed, customizable cutting instructions.

Customers submit cut sheets online.

Customers can review and edit their cut sheets online without phone calls.

Rancher access is included.

Step 2 – Back Office

Online cut sheets turn into Orders, with processing and any other fees automatically included.

Removes re-entry of fees and prices into invoicing software.

Order totals are ready to be sent to the accountant.

Invoices can be automatically sent to customers when their order is completed.

Step 3 – Operations

Cut floor packer can print labels for the weighed cuts with connected scales.

The packer can print summary labels for the containers with the cuts.

Cut inventory is added to the customer order and can be sent to customer.

Integration with retail inventory is available for larger or integrated producers.

We know every shop has unique quirks. We don’t expect you to change your business to fit our software; we help configure the software to fit your business.
